Established in July 2006, Waterloo-CUFE Industry Research Laboratory is a joint research project between the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) and the University of Waterloo (UW) in Canada. The laboratory is also an advanced platform in the service of both teaching and scientific research work for the whole university. The laboratory aims to further promote the cooperation of scientific research and teaching programs and personnel exchanges in finance and economics between the two universities. The laboratory also takes the characteristics of China's financial market as a research object, focusing on the study of industrial problems that arise in both mathematical and computational finance in China. The laboratory is committed to the training of high calibre international researchers in the field of financial analysis and management. The establishment of the laboratory will provide a strong support for the Central University of Finance and Economics to improve her future subject constructions and to keep abreast with other top class universities in China.
